"Brazil" না "Brasil" এই বানানের শুদ্ধতা এবং একটি কৌতুক

বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল খেলা শুরু হলে আমাদের দেশে ব্রাজিল দলের ভালোই সমর্থক পাওয়া যায় এবং খেলা নিয়ে ব্যাপক আলোচনা, সমালোচনা সবখানেই চলতে থাকে। ঠিক এমনই এক বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল চলা কালীন সময়ে, শিক্ষা সফররত বাসে চলছে তুমল আলোচনা, তর্ক-বিতর্ক। বিতর্কের একসময় আর্জেন্টিনা সমর্থক এক শির্ক্ষাথীনি তার ছেলে সহপাঠিকে কট্টাক্ষ করে জিজ্ঞাসা করলো," খুব তো ব্রাজিল, ব্রাজিল করছিস- ইংরেজিতে বানান করত তো"। ছেলে সহপাঠিটির তাৎক্ষণিক উত্তর ছিলো, "ইংরেজিতে পুরা বানান না পারলেও প্রথম তিন অক্ষরের বানান খুব ভালোই বলতে পারবো"।

প্রকৃত পক্ষে স্থানীয়দের জন্য "Brasil"(ব্রাজিলিয়ান পর্তুগিজ স্পিকার), "Brazil" যদি ইংরেজীতে লিখতে হয়।আর অফিসিয়াল নাম “República Federativa do Brasil”.

এন্টিবায়োটিক ব্যবহার/ সেবনে সচেতনতা এবং সাবধানতা

দৈন্দিন জীবনে বিভিন্ন রোগের ক্ষেত্রে আমাদের যথেচ্ছা এন্টিবায়োটিকের ব্যবহার দেখা যায়। বিশেষ করে পল্লী-মফসল এলাকায় এই কথাটা ভালোই প্রচলিত আছে "রোগের ঔষধ তো একটাই এন্টিবায়োটিক"। জ্বর সর্দি কফ-কাশির জন্য ফার্মেসীর কম্পাউন্ডার হতে তিন-চারটি এন্টিবায়োটিক সেবন এবং আরোগ্য লাভের ঘটনার সাথে আমরা ভালোই পরিচিত আছি। কিন্তু অপ্রয়োজনে, অযৌক্তিকভাবে ও অসম্পূর্ণ মেয়াদে  এন্টিবায়োটিক ব্যবহারের কারণে প্রতিরোধী জীবাণুর মাধ্যমে আমাদের এবং ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের মৃত্যু ঝুকি বাড়ছে।

জেনে রাখা ভালো যে ভাইরাসজনিত সর্দি-জ্বর-কাশি-ডায়রিয়াতে এন্টিবায়োটিক কাজ করে না। এন্টিবায়োটিক ব্যবহার/ সেবনে নিম্নলিখিত সচেতনতা এবং সাবধানতা অবলম্বন করা প্রয়োজন।

• শুধুমাত্র রেজিস্টার্ড চিকিৎসকের প্রেসক্রিপশন মোতাবেক অথবা বিশেষ ক্ষেত্রে সরকারি নীতিমালা অনুযায়ী প্রশিক্ষিত স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী কর্তৃক সরবরাহকৃত এন্টিবায়োটিক সেবন করা যাবে।
• এন্টিবায়োটিক সেবন বা গ্রহনের ক্ষেত্রে প্রেসক্রিপশনে উল্লেখিত সময় ও নির্দেশনা মেনে চলতে হবে।
• শারীরিকভাবে সুস্থ অনুভব করলেও প্রেসক্রিপশনে নির্দেশিত এন্টিবায়োটিকের কোর্স সম্পূর্ণ করতে হবে।

বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল আর আমাদের উন্মাদনা!!!

বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবলকে বলা হয় "The Greatest Show on Earth". আগামী ১৪ই জুন থেকে শুরু হতে যাওয়া এই বিশাল আয়োজনে, সারা বিশ্বের মত এই ১ মাস ধরে ফুটবল উত্তেজনায় মাতবে আমাদের এই বাংলাদেশ।
যদিও বাংলাদেশ বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল কোন সময় খেলেনি, কিন্তু ফুটবল উত্তেজনা যে মাঝে মধ্যে লাগামহীন উন্মাদনায় পরিণত হয় তা কখনো কখনো দুঃখজনক, হাস্যকর আবার কখনো কখনো অপমানজনক হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।

নিজের দেশের পতাকা কি কখনো এত্ত বড় বানাইছেন??

পতাকায় পতাকায় দেশ ছেয়ে যাওয়া, পাড়া মহল্লাতে সমর্থক গোষ্ঠি গঠন অনেক পুরানা খবর। কিন্তু এখন এর জন্য আদালতে রিটও হয়।

বাসা বাড়ির রংও এখন উন্মাদনার অংশে পরিণত হয়েছে।

এই উন্মাদনা কখনো কখনো এতটাই মাত্র ছাড়ানো হয় যে তা সংঘর্ষে পরিণত হয়।

নিজের দেশ যখন বিশ্বকাপ ক্রিকেট খেলে তখনো এই রকম উন্মাদনা দেখা যায় না!!!

Mysterious Hexagon on the Planet Saturn

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter. Named after the Roman god of agriculture, Saturn. Saturn is probably best known for the system of planetary rings that makes it visually unique. But there is also another unique and wonderful matter about this planet " The Mysterious Hexagon".

This mysterious hexagon is a persisting hexagonal cloud pattern around the north pole of Saturn. The sides of the hexagon are about 13,800 km (8,600 mi) long, which is longer than the Earth's diameter.The hexagon was originally discovered in images taken by the Voyager spacecraft in the early 1980s.

The hexagon, according to NASA, is 60 miles thick (deep) and an astonishing 15,000 miles wide.That means four Earths would fit inside it. Nasa’s Cassini spacecraft, which has been orbiting the planet for over nine years, has captured the northern hexagon in its true, incredible colours. The hexagon is made of a band of upper-atmospheric winds which creates its six-sided shape. A polar cyclone can be seen at its centre. Thin, bright clouds at the outer edge of the hurricane were estimated to be travelling at around 330 mph (150 meters per second).
